SMS today handles cruise liner business in Denmark, Italy, Libya, Malta, Tunisia, UK & USA

SMS International Shore Operations forms part of SMS GROUP LTD which started operations in Malta in 1950 and has since then, reaped wide experience in the handling of cruise liners over a span of three generations.

The company gained an excellent reputation for its professionalism in Malta for the handling of cruise liners; this resulted from the personal involvement of the Mifsud family in all the operations the company handles.

In more recent years, with the continued growth of cruises and the building of super cruise liners, SMS exported its expertise in the handling of cruise liners and started operating in the UK, through its company S.Mifsud & Sons (UK) Ltd. This also involved turnarounds, which the company has handled since 1996.

This success – which is owed to the Mifsud’s continued personal involvement and an untiring eagerness to please principals and customers – encouraged SMS to open in Denmark, Italy, Libya, Tunisia, Uk & USA.
